About Duane R. Keeling
Duane R. Keeling writes historical and biographical fiction built from real lives — often his own family's. His novels run from the Missouri guerrilla war of 1864 to a copper-mining town in 1950s Arizona, assembled out of pension files, deportation records, and stories handed down at kitchen tables.
Born and raised in Southern California, he served in the U.S. Air Force as a programming specialist with the Strategic Air Command, then spent three decades as a software developer and project manager. He lives in Phoenix, Arizona, where he also works as a freelance photographer — a habit of looking closely that carries into the prose.
He is the author of the Bee Adkins series, The Ridge Watcher, and the Legacy's Child novels.
